To be clear, Wild Coast Tented Lodge enjoys an un-fenced border with the Yala National Park. And the lodge itself is in the jungle so all the mentioned animals do exist in and around the property.

However here are the facts.

1. All tents are well insulated and all doors and windows can be locked (they are kept closed at all times). The chance of snakes and scorpions getting in is very very unlikely.

2. Tents are cleaned thoroughly once a day and staff also do an evening turn-down service, which means that the room is inspected twice a day.

3. Guests can be escorted wherever they would like to go within the resort by a staff member at any time. In fact, we insist a staff member accompany guests at night.

4. We have a 24 hour operator service

5. We have a team of qualified and trained wildlife rangers that are on hand to promptly manage any situation that includes wildlife.

6. For guest reassurance, one of our staff who escorts guests to their tent can inspect the tent upon guest request
