How do I get to Ceylon Tea Trails?

Modified on Fri, 16 Aug at 1:17 PM

Ceylon Tea Trails is nestled in the picturesque Dickoya and Bogawantalawa region of Sri Lanka's hill country, just south of Hatton. Most guests arrive by private car, often as part of a broader exploration of Sri Lanka. The nearest major town, Hatton, is conveniently located just 20 minutes from the closest bungalow, Summerville, and 45 minutes from the farthest bungalow, Tientsin. For those considering rail travel, the railway station in Hatton offers services to Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, and Ella, providing a scenic train journey through the lush landscapes. For a quicker journey, rapid transfers by floatplane or helicopter are also available. For more details, refer to the Resplendent Transfers brochure.

Summerville, Norwood, and Tientsin bungalows at Ceylon Tea Trails offer direct access from the main road. For guests heading to Castlereagh and Dunkeld, continue driving past Norwood towards Maskeliya and take the marked Blair Atholl turn to the right, 5.3 km from Norwood Junction. There is also an optional boat transfer from Summerville to Castlereagh and Dunkeld available during daylight hours; please let us know your estimated arrival time at Summerville in advance to arrange this service. For those arriving by floatplane, the aircraft will land in front of Summerville, and we will coordinate your transfer to the respective bungalow.
