How do guests spend their day at Wild Coast Tented Lodge Yala?

Modified on Mon, 5 Aug at 2:34 PM

The beauty of the jungle is that no two game drives are ever the same – wildlife lovers often go on as many drives as possible. However, Wild Coast Tented Lodge Yala offers more than just safaris to Yala National Park. We can tailor experiences to suit individual preferences such as keen birders, honeymooners, families, or groups.

A typical day at the lodge may be as follows:

If you choose a morning game drive:

At 05:15, you’ll be awakened by the dawn chorus of birds outside your tent. By 05:30, head to the restaurant for pre-game drive tea or coffee and meet your ranger. At 05:45, set off on your game drive.

If you choose an afternoon game drive:

Wake up with the birds and partake in an interesting morning wilderness experience, such as a guided nature walk.

On returning from the drive or walk:

Enjoy our extensive breakfast before retreating to the cool, air-conditioned library to browse through a selection of classic books or indulge in a relaxing spa treatment. A refreshing swim in our ocean-facing pool is also available, with a bar conveniently located next to it. Alternatively, take a nap to recharge for the afternoon ahead.

Midday and Afternoon Activities:

Lunch is served from 12:30 hrs onwards, followed by an afternoon game drive at 14:30 hrs. If you choose to skip the game drive, you can enjoy afternoon cream tea at 16:00 hrs. Later, at 18:00 hrs, join us for sundowners on the beach, with the game drive returning in time for you to participate in the evening activities.

Evening Activities:

After dinner, enjoy stargazing on our secluded beach, where you can relax under the stars and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves.
